Bought a vehicle that had been safetied here, 1200 km later I discovered the front tires were half bald, the brake pads were separating, (the pads were actually coming right off the backing) and the rotors had less than the 75% required by law. The garage told me a safety is merely "a snapshot" of the vehicle on one day. Hmmm. Perhaps they should get their lens cleaned. When my mechanic took off the tires and rotors he was furious when he saw their condition. On the other hand if you really need a safety (nudge nudge, wink wink) I guess this the place to go. I would give less than one star if possible.
Good Afternoon Bruce, As we told you, safety is our number 1 priority when servicing any vehicle. We are registered and licensed with the Ministry of Transportation and we take that license very seriously. We did review all of the measurements from the ministry safety with you, but because they did all pass the safety standards, we can't fail the vehicle. Unfortunately in this scenario, the safety had been done more than a month before your issue, the vehicle had more than 1200km's on it, and it had also been to 2 different garages since the safety was done. You did bring a box of parts in to us, but they still passed the minimum standards required by the Ministry of Transportation. We are sorry that you didn't have a good experience with the purchase of this car.
